I'm excited to share a bit about myself. I'm a 49-year-old single mom with a 17-year-old son and two lovable dogs. Life recently threw me a curve ball when my husband of 19 years, whom I believed to be my soulmate, left unexpectedly. He now identifies as a woman—a story for another time, don't worry ;)

Before settling down with my family, I was quite the free spirit, living a gypsy lifestyle that took me across the globe. From wandering through various states to exploring the vibrant cultures of Europe and Central America, my life has been a tapestry of unique and relatable experiences. I've collected countless stories along the way, each one more fascinating than the last.

I've always dreamed of writing a book to capture these adventures, but time has never been on my side. Instead, I've decided to use this blog as a platform to hone my writing skills, spark memories, and share my incredulous tales of love and loss. My hope is to create a community of like-minded souls who share a passion for wanderlust and can relate to the highs and lows of love.

I've called Honolulu, HI, home for the past 23 years. My son was born and raised here, and our island life has been a beautiful constant. Now, as I embrace my newly found single status, my wanderlust has been reignited. I can't wait to share my past travel stories and embark on new adventures, with all their inevitable sprinklings of love and tragedy.
